I called the college but they're unfortunately no Otherwise, you're stuck. It's up to the user not to lose this information. If I were to lose or throw away my Office 2011 box, MS couldn't. Here’s what I had to do differently: 1. Copy the directory “Microsoft Office 2008” in Applications to my new mac (both on OSX Mavericks). Then deleted all of the files, except the “SetupInfo.plist” and “OfficePID.plist” in the folder named “Office”. Downloaded the Microsoft Office 2008 installer from ( link from this site ) 4. Mount and ran the installer (had to hold down CTRL to open). Voila, the installer read the key / product ID and installed. Automatically ran the updates. Be 🙂 — thank you once again. I had to restore my iMac from a Time Machine backup. Everything seemed fine until I tried to start Office 2011 and it is asking me to re-enter my product key. I am trying to locate my key (I believe I downloaded this version originally and it should be in my email but I can't find it) I tried a program that is supposed to 'find the keys for products installed on your computer' (Mac Product Key Finder) and it found my very old Office 2008 key, but not 2011. I am surprised that if I had a totally working install before recovering from back-up that this wasn't restored as well - do I have any options to find it hiding somewhere on my drive? Note: The recovery was after a hard drive was replaced by the Apple store - if that makes a difference, so this is a new internal drive. This thread is a bit old, but in case someone else finds themselves looking for the answer, this just worked for me: To move / re-install your licensed copy of Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac on a different computer / OSX installation, and re-authorize it without the license / serial / key available, copy the following from the old machine to the corresponding (same) spot on the new computer. Please note that you should be looking for these folders in the root directory of the drive on which OSX is installed-- NOT in your user directory. To get there, in the Finder click Go-->Computer-->[name of the hard drive that has OSX installed.usually 'Macintosh HD'].then look for the following folders: • /Applications/Microsoft Office 2011 folder (copy the entire folder, with all its contents) • /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.microsoft.office.licensing.helper.plist • /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.microsoft.office.licensing.helper • /Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.office.licensing.plist From.

Went with a neon colored theme to announce the launch of Neon. I found it a bit glaring. The “e” and “n” lights go out after a while which I suppose is cute. The is still clear. It turns out not to matter if you choose or something else for the download. The list of had a sponsored package in the list. Wonder how much IBM paid to have Bluemix listed second. I also learned there is a Scout package. I hadn’t heard of which is a framework for HTML 5 among other things. Overall, there’s a lot I’m excited about in this release. The “tar” file (native app) With Eclipse Mars, they switched to a tar file/Eclipse installer for Mac. This is my first upgrade since that Eclipse became a native Mac app. The installer says “Eclipse installer by Oomph” and gives you a choice of a number of Eclipse packages. Which means it doesn’t matter what you choose because it takes you to this point. Then it asks where you want to install. This is good as it lets you have both Mars and Neon installed as native apps. (I was wondering how they were going to deal with that when Mars went native.) The default location seemed like as good a place as any. I clicked install and agreed to do the terms. As I saw the progress bar, I got prompted to agree again. The easiest way to install and update your Eclipse Development Environment. Or download an Eclipse Package. Download Eclipse Installer for. May 3, 2017 - Download links(download Java first, THEN Eclipse): java - eclipse --- These are what I used for the downloads, and they work great. As it was downloading the necessary pieces, I got a warning that downloading was slow. Then it was done and I was able to launch Eclipse. I got prompted for a workspace location. I like to upload my workspace in place so I agreed that I would be preventing the workspace from opening in Mars again. (I backed it up first in case.) Then I saw the Neon slash screen. I was a little worried about this since I didn’t like the home page. No reason to worry. Installing the plugins Like last year, I decided to install the plugins I need for Eclipse Marketplace so I can shed the plugins I tried out and don’t actually want. Cleaning plugin house once a year is nice. The significant plugins I use are listed in this table. A number of plugins were beta for Luna or I had to use the Kepler version. I don’t remember that problem in previous years. Last year, I tried out the Code Recommenders plugin. I didn’t install it this year as I hardly used it. I added Contrast and Bytecode Analyzer as plugins I installed in the past 12 months that I like. Everything installed easily from Eclipse Marketplace unless otherwise noted. Plugin Purpose Tomcat integration supporting recent versions of Tomcat. Code coverage I installed SonarLint last year and quickly came to rely on it. It gives you static analysis findings in Eclipse. I also included the SonarLint Java Configuration Helper so it can see the version of Java I am using. (I”m on Java 8 right now so this is redundant at the moment. But I’m ready for when Java 9 comes out.) I stopped installing PMD and FindBugs. I’m using SonarLint instead. To access Subversion repositories For finding memory leaks. It was in Eclipse MarketPlace – however I couldn’t install from there. Supported Systems for Adobe Reader for Mac. Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) (Intel) (1).
